Our Children
Our pupils are a geography lesson in their own right, with places as far afield as Mexico, Japan, Azerbaijan and Mongolia all represented on the school roll.
69% of pupils speak English as an additional language
31% speak Arabic
This makes for fascinating school events, such as our International Evening, where we got to experience the food, crafts, music, dance and dress from over 20 countries in one evening.
And the school tries to celebrate all the major religious festivals – from Christmas and Easter, to Eid and Diwali.
Because of this, our pupils develop a strong appreciation of the value of diversity, and the importance of tolerance and mutual respect. We find this leads to a greater sense of personal responsibility, and prepares children well for living in modern Britain’s multi-cultural society.
