Amy Formosa

On graduating with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Socio-Legal Studies and Criminology from the University of Westminster, Amy spent three years working as a Support Worker within the the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Amy’s role involved supporting children who were carers for family members, and she provided outreach services and family support to families in need. Amy also spent her spare time volunteering for a domestic violence charity, providing support to women who had been affected by domestic abuse. Amy then went on to work at Fox Primary School as a Learning Support Assistant. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent working in all of these roles before deciding to embark on a carer in teaching.

Amy completed her PGCE through a school based training programme here at Ashburnham Primary School and is now very privileged to have become the Reception Teacher within such a wonderful and inspirational school. The dedication of all staff, the high aspirational standards expected of all pupils, and the community centred approach to learning that Ashburnham provides, makes Ashburnham an exciting and exhilarating place for Amy to work.

In her spare time, Amy loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. Amy has travelled to many places including many parts of Europe, Australia, Fiji and Hawaii, and hopes to see and experience all the wonders of the world one day! Amy also enjoys reading and swimming in her spare time and loves exploring her home town of London.
