History & Geography at Ashburnham Community School
At Ashburnham Community School we believe in developing a sense of inquiry and understanding of both History and Geography. In line with the National Curriculum each class study a number of History and Geography topics over the course of the year. We enrich the Humanities curriculum by making cross curricular links with other subjects to give children more time to learn about and reflect upon the topics. Each unit will have at least one trip, extended writing opportunities and a topic outcome which allows for children to make presentations, leaflets and posters as the basis for speaking and listening tasks.
