Ashburnham’s most recent Inspection visit was in March 2015 when the school received an “Outstanding” rating.
Working with the top primary school in the UK to accelerate improvement
Ashburnham’s Governing Body has been working closely with the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea to address issues that they had identified with the school’s performance. In particular, from March 2013, Ashburnham has been working in partnership with one of the flagship schools in Kensington & Chelsea, Fox Primary.
Under Paul’s leadership, and with full support from his senior team and Fox’s Governing Body, Ashburnham has adopted Fox’s tried and tested Curriculum, Ashburnham teachers are being mentored by Fox teachers, and the recent intake of staff was chosen in conjunction with Fox from the best of the Newly Qualified Teachers they trained in 2013.

With Fox’s support, Ashburnham’s improvement has been rapid and significant. Visiting only 3 months after the Ofsted inspection, an Interim Inspection noted that “Senior leaders and governors are taking effective action to tackle the areas requiring improvement identified at the recent [Ofsted] inspection”
